High water at Eagle Lake

The high water around Eagle Lake really brings out the critters. Here are a few I took a few days ago along Hwy. 465 where it was not underwater and on the levee. It's not too often you can get a picture of turkeys and water lillies in the same photo. They were walking around some high water near Steele Bayou. The Great White Heron was taken in some floodwater along the road right near the gin. The cow bird made sure he could get a good view of things around him by climbing to the top of Cow Mountain.

  1. Great photos, Marty ... The cow is my favorite, of course.

  2. I love the cow we have a cow mountain...the turkeys are great, actually all of them!
