Pool, anyone?

The other day I wrote about an old fooball table located at the abandoned Pioneer High School in Pioneer, La. This pool table sits right alongside it. All the balls were still with it. Go figure.

Lake Providence Cemetery

Lake Providence, La., has a beautiful cemetery. It's unusual in that the typical Confederate monument in most small towns is near the courthouse and not in the cemetery. That's the case here, however. It makes for a great photo in the morning sun and the United States flag flapping nearby.

I like the crucifixion scene that appears on another grave in the cemetery. It's not often that I see this symbolism on gravestones. It was on a flat stone atop a grave and I had to shoot it from the side since my shadow would have been in the photo if I had shot from the foot of the grave.
