The soldier of Soldiers' Rest in Cedar Hill Cemetery has been guarding the graves of the fallen for decades and decades. I have shot photos of Soldiers' Rest numerous times over the year, but never focused on the monument at the center of the site. And I have never seen such sad eyes on a statue before. They may not be sad, however, but tired. Maybe a little of both.
Marty, you beautifully captured his weary and sad spirit in your pictures. And your sunset photos of the flag and bridges are truly awesome. Excellent work, my friend.
