Rodney Presbyterian Church

Rodney Presbyterian Church is made famous by the cannon ball that is still lodged in the brick above the center front window (4th photo down). I have never been inside this church, but I hope to one day. The shutters are slowly falling off the building, but the steeple is still majestic and the ornate railing still exudes its Southern charm. I don't understand the chain on the front gate since you can walk around each side of the front fence.

  1. I love your pictures, Marty ... especially the one of the steeple through the trees. I loved the cannon ball story and picture, too. What a poignant reminder of the toll the War Between the States took on Mississippi.
