Here are photos taken around Vicksburg, Mississippi, on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010. It includes photos of the bridges over the Mississippi River, Vicksburg National Military Park, the Old Court House Museum, Bloom Fountain, Mint Springs, Margaret's Grocery, Cedar Hill Cemetery, Anshe Chesed Cemetery, the Sprague smokestack, downtown Vicksburg and places in and about Vicksburg. Enjoy!
Beautiful pictures. The snow on the cannons is especially serene when you consider their original purpose.
ReplyDeleteMarty - thank you so much for taking the beautiful pictures around Vicksburg of the snow. I was looking forward to seeing your photos and sent a link to your site via my blog at: http://mariandeer.blogspot.com so other people can enjoy. Keep up the great work of taking pictures that you do so well! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Thanks for braving the snow to catch these fleeting glimpses of a snow-white world we rarely get to see.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the snow pictures. I was born and raised in Vicksburg, but have lived in Ft. Walton Beach, FL since 1973. We got only rain in my area. I've bookmarked your website so that I can "visit" whenever I'm homesick.
ReplyDeleteI've looked at only the first dozen or so, and they are just beyond beyond. More later, perhaps tomorrow morning when I can savor them, one by one, with First Cup whilst the house is still and the day yet unborn.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the anticipation of such treasures.
Oh my gosh Marty...you have outdone yourself. These pictures are amazing...amazing. I was hoping that you were going to be able to get out and take some pictures to share with us...hope fulfilled.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
ReplyDeleteWow, you sure went all over to get those! They look great.
