Downtown Atlanta

I had the opportunity recently to spend a week in downtown Atlanta. Each evening was spent walking around that magnificent downtown with all its skyscrapers. For a country boy like me, it was quite a sight.  Anyway, these photos may bore you silly, but I love shooting the architectural angles of buildings such as these. There are just so many textures and patterns and colors and....

I call this one Ebony and Ivory. Taken from my hotel balcony on a stormy night.

 This is my favorite.

  1. The scroll-down montage is just astounding!!! And your perspective is exactly what mine would be---I spend all my street-level time craning up at the angles and colors, like a cartoon hick in the New Yorker.

The very first one is just stunning, like the band of the world's most exquisite watch, and it just goes on from there---the stained glass and the flanges like dolphin fins and the shimmer of reflections in all the colors of glass.

    What a collection!

  2. Nothing you capture with your lens could possibly be boring, Marty! Those pictures should be featured in an Atlanta architectural magazine ... or art gallery, at the least. They are truly magnificent.
